This record contains songs in the past couple of years that were all written during tragic occurrences, including the near death of my wife, a friend’s child being diagnosed with cancer, and the death of a good friend. It’s a deeply personal and emotional set of songs, which is probably why I opted for organic instruments instead of my typical electronic soundscapes.

Chlorophyll is an on-going project with Cat Hall Angeles, formerly of Dissonance. Most of the songs have elements of darkwave and breakbeat electronica. Cat’s vocals are the best I’ve ever worked with. I can’t praise them enough.
