Treasure Chest

“Treasure Chest” is a collection of remixes and songs that have not been released on a Nebulae record.

I did a remix a few years ago for a local Dallas band called Triprocket. They do a cover of Zeppelin’s classic Immigrant Song. Here’s my remix of the cover: http://uvumi.com/#nebulae/songs/5993

Additional remixes are streaming on Uvumi.

My remixes of Hot Bitch Arsenal songs get a lot of attention. I love stumbling across random comments over the web: http://www.radioparadise.com/content.php?name=songinfo&song_id=40430

After a six-year gap of no releases, this album was released. It’s a collection of songs performed live from 2006-2008. Songs range from tech-house to electro to jungle. Heavily electronic and beat-driven.

Some of my proudest work came from shows I played over the past couple of years. I compiled those shows and originally released the songs in two 40-minute Livesets, recorded, produced, and mastered entirely on Ableton Live 6 and 7. Since then, I’ve split the sets into individual songs for easier downloading. The first six songs are part of the electro house set, and the last eight songs are part of the melodic breaks liveset.

Song List:

1. Buzzin’ In Berlin  2. Other Planets  3. Drill  4. Gong  5. Drive-By  6. Chaos  7. Allelujah  8. Normandy  9. Shaken, Not Stirred  10. The Ad 02:59  11. Dubai 05:14  12. Lullaby (Original)  13. Bunny Hop 14. Tarantulae08

Reviews:

“Hi Abid, Listening to it while I write – very nice! Thanks for letting us know and hoping all goes well there, G.”
- Gerhard Behles, CEO, Ableton

“Obviously superb mixing, and a consistent style. I love the sounds used. Its all so warm and silky and spacey. Also the extra little details like the glitchy bits in “Other Planets” really make it. Most impressed by this.”
- Condra, AbletonLiveDJ.com

“Sounding great man! I think some of these may just end up on a mix eventually.”
- Marsh240sx, AbletonLiveDJ.com

“All I can say is FAT! Very impressive. I was thinking that you should play the song at 34:30 the next time you have a court date. Get the beats pumping while you walk up to the bench…now that would be an opening!”
- Vinkalmann, AbletonLiveDJ.com

“Just finished part 1, and it is full of awesome !!! Lots of subtle variations throughout, great energy flow, kick ass sounding all the way through! On to part 2 …”
- Yuri, AbletonLiveDJ.com

“Well here we go had a listen to both of them and have to say that i really enjoyed the second more cause of personal taste…..both of them were extremely well done and my hat goes off to you bro:) will look forward to hearing more of your stuff in the future… i would agree i wouldn’t mind hearing the first one in the club that’s for sure.”
- Syatika, AbletonLiveDJ.com

“Mmmm hmmmmm….sounding gooood!!”
- Ethios4, Ableton Forum

After releasing Wallpaper for DJs: “You bastard. That’s how you should have released it in the first place Mr. 80′s Mix Tape.”
- Beats Me, Ableton Forum

“Hey man, (writing as I discover), that’s good stuff!! Makes my morning very good and joyful. Thanks. (more to come hopefully..)”
- Pamelita (Amo), Ableton

“I like Buzzin’ in Berlin and Chaos. Buzzin’ in Berlin would definitely make a nice intro track for a studio mix.”
- Zonkerbl, AbletonLiveDJ.com

“Bugger…wish I’d have listened to these before putting the acid mix together…that Chaos track would have fitted right in. Liked all of these mate…my 2 favourites are Other Planets and Chaos with Gong a close third. I’m definetly adding those to the stuff i need to get warped to take away in August with me.”
- Jono_H, AbletonLiveDJ.com

“Wow man, this is really impressive stuff….My favourite is definitely Gong. Really great track, sort of experimental but at the same time a solid track. Followed by Drill, loving the sounds in that track. Buzzin in Berlin comes third with those really nice distant acid noises, nice buildup, not sure if it’s chill out or full-on but I like it. I would definitely play those three.”
- ChevTheWizard, AbletonLiveDJ.com

“6 awesome tracks I hope to be using.”

World Wide Eclecticae

Created in Eugene, Oregon, using a 4-track, analog gear, no computers, and definitely no Autotune!! These are tracks from an album from the last century, but they seem to have aged well. The idea of the record was to have multiple world-wide eclectic and electronic influences, with singers singing in multiple languages.

Song List:

1. Trek  2. Frosting  3. L’eau Qui Pique  4. Anemia  5. Wasabi Kimosabe  6. Saharae  7. Possessions  8. Netsurf Conspiracy  9. Infomania
